The very, very worst month of all?

February 27, 2011

BRITAIN-ROYALS/UNIVERSITY

Nah, February wasn’t really the worst month.

YEMEN-PROTEST/It’s just that headlines with best and worst in them always do very well, a lesson I learned yet again upon calculating this blog’s most popular items for the month.

Indeed, my top three posts for February each contained superlatives. Right, like I’m really qualified to name the best or worst of anything.

The top two items also contained the word photo, which I’m filing away in my mind, and a light little item on Kate Middleton did exceptionally well. Free clicks for practically no effort.

So here are February’s top ten, and please come back tomorrow for: The very worst Kate Middleton photos of all time!

february creepy 22010. Yeah baby, I used to be famous!

9. There were no floats? I didn’t notice!

8. Try walking with more Bounce, girls!

7. Three great inventions we really need…

6. It’s all Kate, all the time…

5. YEAH! IT’S ME! I’M IN THE QUIET CAR!

4. Be sure to wear some flour in your hair…

3. A most alarming little gadget

2. The very worst Palin photo ever?

And the most popular item for February…

1. The creepiest photo of all time?

Oh great Blog Guy, if not you, who would lead the OE folks out of the Vallley of Reality and into the World of Doughnutdumb. No, not a typo. With enough sprinkles I become numb to the insanity of the real world. With enough of the exceptional blog each day posted by the amazing Blog Guru, I can live up to my motto: “Though I enjoy a world of fantasy and dreams, I live with reality.” Then again, my other motto is that “It could be that my sole purpose in life is to serve as a warning to others.” How about we serve up some incredibly delicious doughnuts! Then I can go out in public and not scare anyone…

Ah, the best, of the best, of the best. OEBIB, shoes, donuts, goofballs, starving models, and CHOPPAs. Who could ask for more?

Why is everyone so interested in Deepak Choppa?

@onedoor: Having a rough weekend, are we? Remember, reality is for people who can’t handle doughnuts.

@Dave: OEBIB — Old English Bible in Braille? Yes, a close runner-up to shoes and royal gossip.

@Dave: OEBIB – Oddly Enough Bloggers in Bibs? Bibs to catch the doughnut crumbs and/or drool.

@lady: alas, I found out the one local spot that I wanted to head to for a real Guiness no longer has it on tap. I used to be able to sneak in early enough in the evening to avoid the nightly crowd and have one in honor of my parents on their birthdays or St. Patrick’s Day and then just wander happily home. I’ll hoist a few memories instead:)

You lost me at “superlatives” Mr. B. Seriously, a four syllable word on a Sunday? You must have had a quota to fill or something being it’s the end of the month.

Nuh-uh, I’m not about to fall for that, @One, @lady, and @spin. You all just want to see me get zapped.

The one thing common in all three pics is that people have their mouths oipen…
I guess Kate spotted a doughnut, the bread man is demanding his doughnut, and the packers fan just packed away the sapphire blueberry doughnuts…

Shra, I say let’s ZAP Dave anyway since he’s making us all think and search for answers to this OEBIB conundrum!

Posted by Malteser | Report as abusive

Well, Malt, much as I would like to oblige you, there is really no ground to zap Dave… he isnt teaaching and we arent learning… technical snag you see…

Oh bummer. I was hoping we could deviate from the rules a bit… ;) I think this is a case of Oddly Enough Behaviour In Blogs! Make it an Oddly Exception, Bring In Brutality!

Oh well…you can zap me for that matter. I’m trying to learn here..when I shouldn’t right? (As long as someone gets zapped, I’ll be happy).

The Zapper is not to be taken lightly Malt… you should understand that!!

It may be time for me to do an FAQ on the rules here, after consulting with Shra. On the other hand, I suppose that would constitute teaching…
