Oddly Enough Blog
News, but not the serious kind
Could you resist the temptation?
Blog Guy, you seem to be dropping the ball on Stupid Sports, which used to be one of your main coverage areas. Come on, there must be SOMETHING goofy going on among the world’s athletes!
You’re right, this is the season for Traction Distraction Racing, and I have to say…
Sorry, back up a minute. What is Traction Distraction Racing?
Oh, as race cars speed around the track, drivers face sudden distractions. Like this drag racer in the photo above, going 116 miles per hour when he sees hot models in stiletto heels.
Looks like he made it past them without rolling over or crashing or anything, huh?
Well, just until their tops came off. Then there was a flaming six-car pile-up.
So that’s all there is to this so-called sport? Guys being tempted by half-naked chicks? That’s not very evolved.
No, of course it’s more complex than that, especially the Formula One version of Traction Distraction.
You take this photo on the left. A normal race car driver with human emotions like you and me, driving 224 miles per hour when suddenly he sees a guy holding up a big sign. The driver must decide instantly whether to keep going or to veer off and hit him.
Gosh, what did the sign say?
It said, “Honk if you Love Spammers.” If you look closely you can just make out his legs flying over the car…

BG: If Russian Drag Racers look to the side and not to the front, their sport is certain to be a smashing success…

I’da failed the first one. Mama Mia! Russian chicks dancing in Daisy Dukes? Wondering if one of them is Cam’s sister, of course, but I noticed Lamar didn’t bother getting their faces in the shot.
“… was driving slowly”??? How slowly does an F1 car have to go so that you don’t have any injuries from a collision?
@ Dave: I doubt Lamar noticed they even had faces
I hate when that happens!
Worst idea for a game of leap-frog ever!
Her shoes are ill-fitting.
Thanks Dave but, not my sister. Unfortunately, that was my brother that got tagged by the racer. He’s OK though. The girls fixed him up.
Worst coordination during a round of Hokey Pokey ever!
@justCAM, your brother forgot to take off his bowling shoes before going to the F1 race.
Lamar’s not photographed their faces so that you can’t tell what sort of drag racing it is…
Gotta say in the second photo it looks like the red bull has just gored hisself a matador.
Man those grid girls are tall – look how tiny they make the car look in the first photo!
Love the shoes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Russia will get you….awesome shot!
