Oddly Enough Blog
News, but not the serious kind
We’ve got fresh Kate, direct from Canada!
Blog Guy, I have a complaint. Kate Middleton has been in Canada for several days now and you’ve written nothing about it, even though some of your readers are seriously addicted to her.
Look, I no longer actually cover stories, but I’m a professional, so I can wing it by looking at our photo file. Here you go.
In this top picture, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and her husband are engaging in an activity I know very well, making bagpiper jokes.
Really? That seems very cruel and insensitive.
Hey, he’s only a bagpiper. Look, they’re laughing and taunting him. Wish I was there.
I’m not sure I believe you. What about that next picture?
Catherine is saying, “Hey, let’s bury that dude’s bagpipes, Willie! He’ll NEVER think to dig here!”
Okay, that’s just plain stupid. What about the third photo?
“Oh, look up at that cloud, Willie! It looks just like that guy trying to find his bagpipes!”
That’s quite enough, Blog Guy. When your blog is this dumb, it can only mean one thing. It’s a holiday weekend in America, and you don’t think anybody will notice. Am I right?
Hey, my phone ain’t exactly ringing off the hook with complaints, pal…

Bag piper jokes, ah Kate’s got talent and…She’s ever so beautiful…
*dreams*
Ahhhh, Canadian Air Force, eh? Are they still flying the Basler BT-01? Or have they upgraded to Piper Cubs yet?
Watch it, Dave. We don’t poke fun at the Basler BT series here.
At any given moment there are hundreds of Basler BTs in the air, mostly because of that landing gear problem…

BG, can you settle a bet I made with my dog groomer’s haberdasher? Did Wills & Kate partake of any poutine while traveling in Canada? I’d love to see some photos
I didn’t know that William works or worked for American highway/utility companies. He’s a fully trained leaner!
OOooooh, I like the Maple Leaf hat! Forget the poutine, did they get to have pancakes with maple syrup?
Ok, I’ll admit I still like bagpipes. I even like the music they make.
Fresh Kate? Wow! How much Fresh Kate do I put out for Danger Kitty to be ‘scratching about’ in?
Don’t forget the other great new product, ‘Fresh Prince Will’ compost!
Huzzah!
That’s funny, BG, I like to celebrate holidays by returning gloriously to the blog after a rather long hiatus, during which I, um, well…aaahhh, didn’t do much of any interest to anyone.
Thanks, bg; you made my Sunday morning.
Just in time, sarabelle. We almost gave your space to someone else.
Yeah… Kate hasn’t done much shovelling before has she?
@Crowgirl – what did you expect? She’s a toff, so there would be more muck-raking than shovelling in her past.
I hear the Canucks are changing their national anthem to Oh Kate-nada!
Expect for Quebec, of course.
Whoo! I’m glad I didn’t wait till Labor Day, like I was originally planning!
Shoveling in high heels? What will that daffy Kate do next?

I have had my shoe shots and I declare myself satisfied.. for the rest of the day…
@JC – maybe Coolest World Leader Dude thought the kilt would add more drag (oh yeah…pun TOTALLY intended!)
