Hey Blog Guy, a couple of days ago you illustrated your piece on high-cholesterol foods with a lot of photos of President Barack Obama with junk food, and you said, “If I want to know what foods I should avoid…I’ll just follow the presidential motorcade.” You were just joking, right?
Maybe, maybe not. That item ran on Monday, so let’s see where the Obama motorcade would have taken us on that very day.
Oops, here we are at Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles, in Los Angeles.
Uh-oh. That can’t be good.
Yeah, let’s just say when Obama is on the road, you seldom find him stopping at Slappy’s House of Cauliflower and Tofu.
But gosh, nutritional information about healthful food is readily available. Do you think Obama is getting the message?
Yes, I think he is. Unlike those earlier photos I used, we don’t see any actual food in today’s pictures. We just see the bags of chicken wings. I guess Obama has discovered that carry-out is better for his image.
In this top photo it looks like Obama is hailing a taxi. Doesn’t the Secret Service drive him around?
Of course they do. I guess he’s just flagging down one of those popular Los Angeles pie trucks….

I dunno what to think. One one hand it’s nice to see Obama being a regular guy and ordering his own food instead of acting the diva. On the other hand I gotta wonder…does the guy ever work?

Lemont – yesterday was National Greasy Foods Day. She just celebrated a bit too much. ‘Cause she’s a patriot.
She thought she’d lost weight. Turns out it was behind her.
@Lemont, that is the designated taster, acting just like the ones in ancient Egypt. Her job is to take a bite out of everything the Presidential Family eats before they do to see if it’s poisoned, too high in cholesterol, too low in fiber or wrong in any other way. I’ll let you judge all the rest.

OMG the presidential motorcade! Seriously, look at the top pic, lower left corner! It looks like an elbow! Guess Lamars first day on the Secret Service didn’t go so well huh?

Junior Secret Service agent Lamar is:
a) checking the tire treads on the POTUS’ ride
b) providing the POTUS with a handy “bridge” to get him safely from curb to limo
c) steathily waiting to “gotcha!” Ms. Chicken-and-Waffles when she turns around
Somehow chicken and waffles don’t sound that good . How’s the chicken prepared? And what do you do with the waffles? Yes I know, you eat the suckers.
It just doesn’t sound all that good. Is this a ” Southern” dish?
