By: Moonshine Sat, 26 Nov 2011 14:46:22 +0000 No fair, Nosmo….
…without risk of a ZAP, can you say where the heck you get saveloys w/o foing through UK or NZ?

By: AllThatJazz Fri, 25 Nov 2011 18:31:34 +0000 @Nosmo – I’m thankful Shra hasn’t zapped you yet. Or do recipes count as teaching, since it’s all geared toward sybaritic self gratification, anyway?

By: Nosmo_King Fri, 25 Nov 2011 14:29:57 +0000 OK for all those not playing in the US or Canada, here is a way to make your own Corn Dogs using Saveloy sauages. You MUST use Saveloys to get the traditional corndog experience.
Cornmeal Batter:
1 teaspoons salt
2 well beaten eggs
3/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
3/4 cup flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
Get Saveloy put wodden popsicle stick in one end, then dip/roll in the batter mix and then place immediately in hot oil (preferrably in a deep fryer) until it floats to the surface and is darkish brown on the outside.
leave to drain for 2 or so minutes and enjoy.
Optionally, they may be consumed with any combination of tomato sauce, mustard or relish.

It must be something in the corndogs. I’m still thankful that I live in Ohio.

By: iflydaplanes Thu, 24 Nov 2011 15:31:08 +0000 @Unca, I second that!

@E, being the specatcular cook you are no doubt you could make a corn dog better than any one could get here. Hell, you might be able to create a market for them in Ireland! You could be rich! :)

@Dave, not just today, but everyday, thank you!

By: uncarastus Thu, 24 Nov 2011 14:49:26 +0000 I am thankful for the bunch of you, friends!
