No long-winded speeches for these lawmakers
Blog Guy, I know you’re a keen observer of politics and government around the world. Do all lawmaking bodies work pretty much the same?
Not really, there are some subtle variations. In Ukraine, for instance, if a member of parliament wants to speak he has to be choked first, as you can see in this photo taken yesterday.
Then the guy in charge twists the dude’s head around.
And then?
Then he throws him over a small door in the parliament chamber.
That’s amazing! What happens then?
I don’t know. Nobody has ever gotten past that point in the process before.
So in a typical year, how much time does Ukraine’s parliament spend in session?
