I wish you every success in the future.

By: Incindiaries Thu, 28 Apr 2011 15:03:48 +0000 This is an American experience that many people will never be able to enjoy, save for the efforts of people like the Mantles. I tip my hat to them and their efforts to share, as well as MAINTAIN a way of life that American was founded on. I come from a farming/ranching family, albeit a small operation, but being raised this way I am blessed with an appreciation of the land, love of all animals, a strong work ethic, two helping hands and a singing heart. What an adventure to join in this event and feel, if even briefly, the teamwork and spirit of the old West that these folks inspire. I will NOT miss another Horse Drive in Three Forks, MT, even if I’m just comedic relief or dishwasher…

Thank you for your coverage of this exciting adventure!

I love how you opened the piece with your unfortunate plane experience. It had me laughing and empathizing with you right off the bat. No cookie-cutter spick-and-span narrative about all the pretty horses, but an honest and gritty account of your time there. I admire and appreciate that.

I hadn’t heard of the Montana drive before, but I saw your slideshow earlier today and sent it onto my horsey-mother who instantly wanted to be apart of it next year.

Thanks for your work, personal account and congrats on getting the assignment. You rocked it well! (Hopefully the strong smell of horse covered you once you got off the plane!)

All the best,
Brittany Hannah
