I am sure there was something you could have done then and there Rupak. If you had time to follow them up for couple of days, you surely could have taken to a private hospital or clinic. Couple of examinations and consultation fees wouldn’t have costed more than Rs 1000 – 2000. At least the lady would have known what her husband suffers from and what can be done about it. Maybe the solution is not so complex. Can you tell me where can they be found? I will try to connect with some of my friends of friends in Calcutta and help the couple out.

THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE IN THIS SITUATION, IT IS A SHAME BUT WE CANNOT AFFORD TO TAKE CARE OF EVERYBODY, THERE IS JUST NOT ENOUGH MONEY. IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE A FAMILY THAT TAKES CARE OF ITSELF, HER CHILDREN ARE THE ONES THAT SHOULD BE HELPING THEM OR IF NO CHILDREN THEN THE NEIGHBORS. IN THE US MANY PEOPLE TAKE CARE OF PEOPLE WITH DIMENTIA IF THEY ARE NOT ON MEDICADE. IT COSTS ABOUT $8000 FOR ONE MONTH OF CARE IN A NURSING HOME WHICH WILL MOST LIKELY NEGLECT YOUR FAMILY MEMBER IN A WAY YOU COULD NOT STOMACH. WHAT IS THE ANSWER?????? MORE TAXES, I DO NOT THINK SO, WE MUST BE RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR OWN OR WORK HARD ENOUGH TO SAVE SO WE CAN AFFORD DESIREABLE CARE SUPPLIED BY OTHERS (AND HOPE THEY DO NOT ROB YOU BLIND)
