Although employers in the richer coaster regions cry for sharp increase in the labor cost of their business recent years, for the migrant workers from the rural areas, still the wages from the jobs in the factories in cities does not even allow them to rent an apartment to live with their spouses. If they have children, the rigid residential registration (hukou) system of the government does not permit the children to attend the schools in the city. As a result, commonly rural villages have increasingly become a place of the children and the old, devoid of the young at the working age. So every year, the holiday time at the traditional Chinese new year has become so precious to reunite with their families still in the villages. Whatever happens at this time they determine to go home. That’s the massive home migration nobody could stop at the moment.
