Watch: Jimmy Fallon’s band plays “Lyin’ Ass B—-” as Michele Bachmann walks on stage

November 22, 2011

Jimmy Fallon’s house band, The Roots, played a tune that sounded an awful lot like the song “Lyin’ Ass Bitch” as Michele Bachmann joined the host on set Monday night. The chorus of the song, by the alternative rock group Fishbone, is “la la la la la la la la la,” which the band members sang as Bachmann took her seat.

There was no indication whether Fallon played a role in the song choice, although today he tweeted that @questlove, the drummer for The Roots, “is grounded.”

During the segment, Bachmann agreed to play Fallon’s word association game. When he asked her what word she associated with Romney, Bachmann said “hair,” before revising to “vice president.” When Fallon said “Obama,” Bachmann said “finished.” And when he said “Bachmann,” she shook her head and smiled: “president.”
