How Starbucks avoids UK taxes

Starbucks consistently describes its UK unit as profitable, but equally consistently avoids UK taxes by declaring a loss. That’s according to a report by Reuters correspondent Tom Bergin, who says the tale illustrates the power that companies have to frustrate tax collectors:
