Twitter collection: Cruz fires spokesman over misleading ad about Rubio

In a campaign shake up late Monday, Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz announced that heĀ asked for the resignation of his spokesman, Rick Tyler. The issue at hand was a campaign ad that falsely showed rival Marco Rubio dismissing the Bible. Tyler apologized on Sunday for posting an “inaccurate story,” but Cruz wasted no time in firing him the next day. Cruz’s main opponent, Donald Trump, also wasted no time in taking to Twitter to draw attention to the issue and bash Cruz over the dishonesty– and Trump isn’t the only voice setting Twitter ablaze over the story.
