A Wisconsin man who downed almost 23,000 Big Macs since 1973 has documented his obsessive-compulsive desire in a new 205-page book, “22,477 Big Macs.”
Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin resident Don Gorske, 54, says his Big Mac attack started on May 17, 1972, when he got his first car. Since then he’s visited McDonald’s each day and keeps every single receipt in a safe box.
He skipped only once, the day his mother died, upon her request.
Gorske is apparently no worse for wear for his daily dose of the 540-calorie sandwich. The corrections officer is physically fit. And even after writing his book - which he typed with one finger while double-spacing between every word – the married father still craves his daily beefy treat.
“I promised myself I would eat a Big Mac every day no matter how bad th
ings got,” Gorske told the FDL Reporter . “The best thing of the whole day was the Big Mac.”

IS it possible that this news report from AP and Reuters worlwide was PR stunt to drum up PR for his book, and don’t forget he was in the SUPERSIZE movie too. so this was all PR hype for a book. Why didn’t reporters find out the truth about this, instead of just reporting the surface of the story. soemthing fishy here
You may remember seeing Don Gorske in 2004’s Supersize Me. He was in the movie as living proof that not everyone who eats at McDonald’s gains 35 pounds in the first month.
