Check Out Line: A new pizza recipe wasn’t enough for Domino’s
Check out the new CEO at Domino’s Pizza.
Less than a month after revamping its pizza recipe to lure in more customers, the U.S. pizza delivery chain said it plans to elect the head of its U.S. operations Patrick Doyle as its next CEO at a meeting next month.
Don’t feel sad for outgoing CEO David Brandon though. He will remain as a “special advisor” through this year and doesn’t have to look for a new home as he is moving down the road in Ann Arbor, Michigan to become the University of Michigan’s next athletic director. Go Blue, indeed.
In December, Domino’s made its pizza crusts more garlicky, tweaked its tomato sauce and upgraded its cheese in a move to upgrade the taste of its product, which research firm Brand Keys said tied for last with children’s pizza party chain Chuck E. Cheese.
