I like that you mention running to get out and escape. I think working out is key for another reason: making yourself too tired to stay awake at night!  We often have so much going on in our minds that we forget to do the basic things that keep us sane.  We all lose sleep over our to-do lists, but starting a business kicks this bad habit into overdrive and does nothing for our daytime productivity.  

Working out and sleeping well are key to staying effective on those big days that really matter when launching a business.
