Vlog on the pitch — FA Cup review

Posted by: Kevin Fylan

Is Carlos Queiroz right when he suggests that poorly performing referees should be red-carded ? Should Chelsea have had Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba in their FA Cup squad, despite concerns about their fitness? And are Liverpool finally back on track?

Reuters sports editor Paul Radford joins vlogmeister Owen Wyatt to discuss all that and more, after an epic weekend of FA Cup action.

in my opinion i never felt liverpool had gone anywhere…YES, they started to stutter a little bit, but what team wouldn’t when your manager (who had won the champions league with them) is undermined by a co-owner who honestly knows nothing about footballl!!?? i have never seen such a bad move as to release a statement about klinsmann as hicks did…absolutly absurd…and as for the calls for the head of benitez, again crazy talk!! without him the team would simply fall to bits…torres, alonso, reina and all the integral spanish parts of the team would want out…not to mention benitez is one of the pedigree managers in the world..

I agree James, I think that Benitez is a top manager, I do think that Gerrard and Torres need to play every game though…I appreciate that player do sometimes need to be “rested” but two players like that should be consulted first as in, “Do you feel 100 percent for the weekend?” if yes then they are in!

decisions in general have been appauling across the board in the premiership this year…i accept their job is very hard, but toooooooo often poor decisions are costing the smaller teams especially…A LOT of money is at stake for the smaller clubs in the league and more often than not the decisions will go against the lower, smaller teams…i know i appear to be harping on but “big team favouritism” is stinking out the league…If big decision goes against a top four teams it is splashed across the back pages left right and centre….BUT, if the same sort of decion goes against a lowly team then nothing is said OR done about it…A.LA Niemi against west ham…that not only cost fulham a point but potentially millions of pounds in revenue if it means they go down…How about the pitch at wigan????? BLA BLA BLA… what if bolton or sunderland had gone there…NOTHING WOULD HAVE BEEN SAID

Queroz went far too far but somewhere there is a point worthy of being made. i agree with chris: refereeing standards have been crap generally.

You are completely disregarding the rumours about Didier Frank Lampard wanting to leave Chelsea FC because of Grant.
