That’s interesting. I think with the coach leaving he probably thought, What the hell? Not sure Klinsmann will be too impressed though.

While it is never good to piss off the coach, he is leaving at the end of the season so maybe it is smart to take a stand on where you want to play. A place in a National Side always helps your standing at the club level and vice versa so it is a bit of gamble in the end. hope that works out for him
