I'd agree Anders -- the Ataturk is a terrible place to watch football. My personal least favourite was the Olympic Stadium in Munich. Freezing cold most of the time (or so it seemed) and not much of an atmosphere.

By far the worst stadium I've been to is Istanbul's Atatürk Olympiat stadium. It has around 80.000 seats but usually it's has only a couple of thousand fans in the stands because it's only Istanbul's to least popular clubs that play there. Even if the Turkey national team plays or Galatasaray play there and the stadium isn't empty it's still a shitty stadium. It's located far from the city on a hill where a cold wind always blows. Terrible...

Unfortunately the likes of the Riverside Mechano Stadium et al lack soul and are very uncomfortable due to the viewing angles. But a wet wednesday night in Barnsley with a hole in your shoe and flooded toilets takes some beating!!

Santiago Bernabeu is the best, great view of players and pitch, heating in the winter, easy to exit, right in the middle of town, and home to one of the greatest sporting teams in the world.

Stadio delle Alpi is easily the worst stadium. Its unbelievable that such a well financed club would build such a cut rate stadium. Any stadium with a track around it is totally useless, might as well be at the pub.
