What more could he have done? He has restored respect for Manchester City, given us our best ever season in the Premiership, brought in a group of very good players and most of all he has given the supporters a sense of realistic optimism for the first time in many years. As a season ticket holder of many years Dr Thaksin Shinawatra gave us hope, whether he is being badly advised or not I do not know, but he is now reducing Manchester City to a laughing stock yet again and I for one am disgusted and disillusioned. Sven Goran Ericsson deserves better - MUCH better.

Sven’s had a promising first season in charge at Man City and it seems a mistake to show him the door. I think most fans will be both sad to see him leave and worried at the conduct of their new chairman.

It would be hard to justify his sacking. Whilst he has spent a lot of money, he has turned them into a decent footballing team and some of his signings have looked worthwhile. Just what was he expected to achieve in one season?

Rumours of Thaskin’s desire for a different manager have been doing the rounds for some time now, so this doesn’t come as a shock. Perhaps Sven is better off out of it. His performance this season certainly won’t keep him out of work for long.

Thaskin will have to be willing to part with a lot of cash to tempt Big Phil to the blue half of Manchester. His conduct thus far certainly won’t be giving off the right message for any possible Sven replacement.

As soon as Thaksin said his piece the other week about Eriksson’s future being decided at the end of the season you knew the genial old Swede was on his way out. I can’t see a queue lining up to take his place either. Once again though, Sven will be laughing all the way to the bank along with his ever-loyal agent Atholl Still.

Mr. Thaksin should leave Manchester City, MCF not Eriksson.

Why are everybody writing about the resignation of Eriksson and not demanding Mr. Thaksin to leave the club? He is incompetent to run a football club and now it seams that he do not even have the money. If you are a real MCF fan you should end your support for MFC as long as Mr. Thaksin is owner.

MCF fan, but only if Mr. Thaksin is out.

Shinawatra is a loose cannon; this is a win-win for Sven. He won’t be unemployed for long. Some think he’s headed back to Benfica, which is a possibility, but I think there are bigger fish he could snare.
As for Scolari going to City, doubtful. I don’t see it.
