I’m all for this guy getting a high-profile club job; he’s doing something right. Only thing is, yesterday, there’s a good chance no one saw how good a job he did with the TV outages!

I can understand why Terim might be thinking of calling it a day, given his prickly relationship with the national federation and the media, but I think it would be a shame, not least for the players. He seems to have that knack of drawing composed, confident performances on the international stage from raw young talent, as well as the respect of the older players. A European club’s gain would be Turkey’s loss.

A midd-table english team would be just fine for Fatih Terim. He can reach great things with the will and the passion that he got.
