This one is too good to miss: Bild newspaper in Germany takes an affectionate look at the best Panini Bundersliga stickers down the years, and they’ve even translated the page into English.
There are some real classics from Germany’s hairiest decades, including some of the most ridiculous mullets, perms and handlebar moustaches you’ll ever see.
Follow the link to Bild and check out the image gallery at the bottom of the page for the Panini pictures themselves. My personal favourite is probably Mike Werner of Hansa Rostock, with his uebermullet, but there are plenty of good ones.
To get you in the mood, I’ve included here a pic of Thomas Doll in 1998, taken by Reuters photographer Christian Charisius at the Rothenbaum tennis club in Hamburg, following his move to HSV. That’s only 10 years old as well…

The Oliver Kahn one on the link is fantastic. When did people ever think mullets looked good? It’s a bit like 60’s concrete block architecture. It can never look good.
