What,s the problem with the Irish as they had two games ,home and away to settle the score and get to the world cup next year .Earlier on in June this year the British Lions were in South africa to play the Springboks and that great Irish centre Brian o,Driscoll took out Danie Rossouw the Springbok loose forward in a crude tackle that concussed the big man,no yellow card no citing ,no coment from the media ,so what goes around comes around ,sorry hypocrites?

Happy as managed more than i wanted with a pretty respectable 13 considering my poor form of recent weeks puts me nearer that elusive 100 barrier so onto 96 now with still 2 games left of this gameweek.Reckon of the outside contributors I must be 2nd at least as sean cannot have caught me yet and maid I think is well ahead even if he had a poor showing this week.

Glad you spotted my little deliberate mistake there, mitch. Sadly for you, it was a mistake in the old total, which was actually 93, and not the actual one.

This is what the Ireland manager should have done. Some years ago, Sheffield United went to Highbury for a cup match against Arsenal. An Arsenal player went to ground injured and one of the Sheffield United players kicked the ball out of play to enable him to get treatment. Now, to the uninformed on these matters, in football, there is what’s best described as a “gentleman’s agreement” that, if an opponent kicks the ball out of play for an one of your players to get treatment, you return the ball back to your opponent, you know, to say ‘thanks guys’.Arsenal didn’t kick it back afterwards. They threw the ball to one of their players from the throw-in, ran up the pitch and scored. What did the manager of Sheffield United, then Steve Bruce, do? Ordered his players off the pitch immediately and refused to play on.If only Trappatoni had done the same.“Right boys, that’s enough. We don’t play against cheats. Off you come. Sorry Mr Fourth Official, we’re not playing on.” What a scene that would have created. And guess what it got Mr Bruce and Sheffield United? A replay.Do you agree?!! Check out my bloghttp://anirishdaddy.blogspot.com/2009/11/luck-of-irish.html

Just had a quick recount of all my scores whilst bored at work and i reckon im onto 83 now which is not as good as i was hoping for! At least its a long season enabling me enough time to claw back the 34 points(Well hopefully anyway) i am currently behind our leader!
