ORIGINAL POST: While footballers across Europe are struggling to fill the long winter evenings of their holidays — Thierry Henry playing a listless game of Cluedo, perhaps, while Cristiano Ronaldo struggles to drum up the enthusiasm for another bingo evening — in England it´s still all systems go, festive season or no festive season, which means it must be time for our latest round of predictions.

I´ve managed to drag myself away from the turkey — we tackled the north face of it last night and haven´t made much further headway — long enough to post the latest standings, fixtures and games for Boxing Day (and Sunday).

So if you´re looking for an excuse to get away from the family for a bit, join in here. Remember, you get five points for predicting the score correctly, and the consolation of a single point if you just get the result right. The five points on offer for each game, plus bonus points, means you can join in at any time and catch us up pretty quickly.

So, feat your mince pies on these… Double pointer this week is Fulham v Spurs.

Manchester is rapidly closing the gap with Arsenal! It’s like the blues are not capable of maintaining the lead! is it a lack of experience? decrease in Soccer results in Premier League? or Man Utd are just too good to be true lately?
