Average age of starting line ups: Barcelona 26.7 yrs and Arsenal 25.8 yrs (it was similar in the first leg too). The two oldest players on the pitch at the start were in Arsenal shirts and the youngest was Bojan from Barca. It's not about the Arsenal players "youth", it's about the fact that their team is full of identikit players and when they come up against a good side, they have nothing in the locker to change their game. This has been the case for a few seasons now and Arsenal fans I know, are very critical of Wenger's delusion that it can work. It's nearly 5 years since they won a trophy now!
