There is no reason to believe that they will think rationally when placed under pressure. Watching Hagel was painful. I had the same feelings watching Obama during the first debate. Yes, he did better in the second and third, but those performances could not erase the thought that he does not perform well on his own (not coached intensively) and fielding only softball questions. Starting at the top, this administrations lacks leaders who can think and ACT in crisis situations.
