You are a journalist at Reuters. Why don’t you DO these stories rather than just up our interest & frustration with this column?

In Connecticut, high schools used to cost about $40 – $50 million 15-20 years ago. Now they cost about $80 – $100 millions. Well, CT is expensive state, but it is not 4-5 times more expensive than the US average. Two times at most, more likely 1.5 times.

I would guess that, as usual with government contracts, the school building site underestimates costs by half. The same percentage as with fighter jets.

The problem is the MSM chooses to ignore this fiscal farce and Con-Gress is on the take from the military-industrial-national security complex.

Instead of requiring ID when you vote, scan everyone’s thumbprint. If voter fraud is suspected, you’d have proof of who cast a ballot where. That should make everybody happy: No one gets turned away for not having ID, but you have positive ID for any fraud.

It didn’t work then. What’s that about the definition insanity being trying the same thing over and over and expecting different results?

However, if your goal is to shovel money as fast as possible to military contractors, this is a very successful project indeed.
