U.S. venture capitalists can no longer focus on investing within a 25-mile radius of their Silicon Valley offices because the talent and the markets they need have gone truly global, said David Chao, the cofounder and managing general partner at Doll Capital Management. “Talent is everywhere,” he told the Reuters Venture Capital Summit. “Three guys in Romania can start a wonderful opensource company.”
