Comments on: Google’s Green Energy Czar on investing in renewables Exclusive outtakes from industry leaders Wed, 16 Nov 2016 08:14:55 +0000 hourly 1 By: f belz Thu, 10 Sep 2009 17:09:10 +0000 I think this is a good thing. Google has the horsepower to get the word out on new technology. We and the rest of the world need to stop burning fuel to make our power and run our machinery. It will take time, but we will make the switch.

By: Doug Chambers Thu, 10 Sep 2009 13:45:18 +0000 I have been making solar reflective mirrors for more than 30 years. My mirrors have 98 to 99% reflectivity.
I have provided many mirrors to solar projects including many Gov. projects. I would be interested in your mirros if they are available.

By: Sr_Newk Thu, 10 Sep 2009 13:32:42 +0000 The scheme of building solar thermal power plant as and answer to the Climate Change really gets to me especially when a request to do this is with our U.S. tax dollars. Even if research were to developed and cheaper substrate to create the mirrors for heliostats, it takes a large scale of acreage to create a 250 megawatt solar thermal power plant.

If you want to meet Climate Change requirements, and get the best bang for the dollar, rather then putting billions of dollars in the research and development of solar plants, the money could be better spent toward building nuclear power plants. These type of plants produce more power, take up less land mass, and they are a safe and a proven technology.

The used nuclear fuel from the plants can be re-enriched and recycled again and again which reduces nuclear waste. The high speed rail trains in France receive electrical power and it is produced by nuclear power plants. Spain is deep in debt trying to utilize green technology for power production. All of us need to really evaluate what works well and what doesn’t from a green energy standpoint because this country is already deep in debt.

I have developed a hydrokenitic technology that converts sea water to potable drinking water. It also generates electricity, enabling me to extract hydrogen gas.

It has been reviewed by USBR and the USACE.

Who could I contact at Google to discuss their assistance.

By: Jeff Lefor Thu, 10 Sep 2009 05:06:02 +0000 There is another solar invention I am working on. It is the solar desalination plant. It focuses the suns rays to vaporize sea water then the brine go to a salt farm. It would be self sustaining due to the geothermal turbine installed utilizing the heated water and the cool water coming into the system. There are aproximately seven or eight locations in southern california that I could set up the plant. It would generate pure water on a regular basis, and uses methods which can mass produced for future water farms.

Sometimes water from solar is more important then power, and more valuable.

By: Jeff Lefor Thu, 10 Sep 2009 04:56:50 +0000 I believe what they are looking for is a defuser. Back in the mid ninties I was working on the mirror solar plant defuser and came up with a rotating crystal shape cylinder with tugensten carbonite alloys at the tips designed to trap the suns rays by 90%. Inside the alloy casing was high pressurized liquid. The heat generated was overwhelming so the device was placed on rotation with variable fluid jet inlets switching from top to bottom as the heat was produced and the backside was cooled. The intense pressure would keep the fluid in liquid form through the defuser. Then the jet would enter the chamber as it turned a flowing stream of liquid into vapor instantly. I couldn’t find any investors for it but you may be interested. Also included is my design for the air-jet mirror cleaner.

When will you people take a physics class so you can figure out that your gobbledegook makes no sense.

There are some people that know your only real job is to bamboozle people even dumber than you are in government. So they swallow your load of non-sense and write reports so you can steal taxpayers money.
