Comments on: Palin offers to play “stump the candidate,” but game doesn’t happen Tracking U.S. politics Wed, 16 Nov 2016 03:39:51 +0000 hourly 1 By: Sarah Failin' Sat, 20 Sep 2008 04:11:26 +0000 Sarah clearly dodged the question just like Bush dodged the draft. Her foreign policy is going to Taco Bell for lunch. She repeats herself in every speech, Charlie!
The raod to nowhere actually goes to the barn that she rolled out of. Oink Oink.
Her nickname is Ms.Piggy and his is Kermit the Frog. And her and Dude can see Russia from their home as they continue to make more kids that they can’t take care of.
She thinks that when Georgia is brought up in conversation, they are talking about Atlanta. The civil war is over.

By: V Addeman Fri, 19 Sep 2008 20:03:36 +0000 I think it would be wise to use spell check, and maybe opened a dictionary, before hitting the ‘Submit Comment’ button. Especially if belittling someone else’s spelling.

Oh, and it’s hard to imagine Gov. Palin as V.P. I seriously considered voting for Sen. McCain, until he picked her.

By: The Truth Fri, 19 Sep 2008 16:18:34 +0000 I’m a little confused, Let me see if I have this straight.

If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you’re ‘exotic, different.’ Grow up in Alaska eating moose burgers, a quintessential an American story.

If your name is Barack you’re a radical, unpatriotic Muslim. Name your kids Willow, Trig and Track, you’re a maverick.

Graduate from Harvard law School and you are unstable. Attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, you’re well grounded.

If you spend 3 years as a brilliant community organizer, become the first black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years as a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a State Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, become chairman of the state Senate’s Health and Human Services committee, spend 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state of 13 million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran’s Affairs committees, you don’t have any real leadership experience.

If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city council and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000 people, 20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then you’re qualified to become the country’s second highest ranking executive.

If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising 2 beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches, you’re not a real Christian.

If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left your disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you’re a Christian. If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society.

If, while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no other option in sex education in your state’s school system while your unwed teen daughter ends up pregnant, you’re very responsible.

If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position in a prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city community, then gave that up to raise a family, your family’s values don’t represent America’s.

If you’re husband is nicknamed ‘First Dude’, with at least one DWI conviction and no college education, who didn’t register to vote until age 25 and once was a member of a group that advocated the secession of Alaska from the USA, and you CC him on emails regarding government business on your personal email, your family is extremely admirable. OK, much clearer now.

[and if you do not know who these are referencing, look the comments up…ALL TRUE]

By: Dash Fri, 19 Sep 2008 03:34:00 +0000 Alan,

Do people in Alaska pay Federal Income Tax. If so, so they deserve anything back? Do you expect them to just send their money down to the lower 48 and take nothing back in return.

Alan can you name one of state in America where a trooper could issue a death threat against the first family and keep his or her job? Could you? Can you even name a state where a trooper could taser his 10 year old stepson with a department issued taser and keep his job? Palin released over 10,000 emails that clearly indicate her true issues with the head of the DPS in her state. The real issue here is why the good old boy trooper union in Alaska jumped in to save this rogue cops job so many times. Could a trooper anywhere in America, ex-brother-in-law or not, threated Biden’s family or Obama’s family and still have his job the next day? Damn, are democrats so ready to go against Palin no matter what, that they’ll defend an ass like Wooten?

By: BaxterJ Thu, 18 Sep 2008 23:19:08 +0000 I’m so sad that no one was allowed to take her up on this offer. That would have been comedy gold.  /Sarah-Palin/Stump-Me/I-Dare-You/Stump- the-candidate

By: Alan Thu, 18 Sep 2008 20:55:48 +0000 To Mainstream Media, I have to say that who are you? Are you Reporters of Truths or Messengers of Lies Deceptions and Propagandas? Chuck Hagel is right. McCain and Palin should be vote out for many reasons; Unemployment getting close to 7%, Stock Market Collapsed, Gas price is as high as ever, Everything else went up 25%, People are loosing their home daily, and McCain and his Economic adviser Mr. Gramm had to do a lot with these problems, yet most of medias supporting McCain /Palin since they do not want to admit that either they are paid off or scared of Republicans. McCain and Palin are on the wrong side of all issues and yet he gets free ride from Medias. All McCain’s staff are Lobbyist and the worst on is Bill Gramm. McCain has no plan for economy and at many occasions he said he does not understand it. He is the ultimate flip flapper. Palin lied about bridge to no where, since she was for it and politician in D.C killed it and she kept almost 400 million dollar money. She abused her power and fired a commissionaire for personal reason. She was Mayor of six thousand people city , when she took over city had surplus when she left city had deficit even so that she took 27 million dollar of tax payers money that was given to her by D. C through her lobbies. Mainstream Medias are betraying Americans once more without any shame by supporting McBush.

By: Emmanuel Thu, 18 Sep 2008 20:00:37 +0000 Palin talks of readiness after swearing in; is this the kind of leadership Americans are looking forward to? The presidency is not a training ground, Palin and Grandpapa McCain had better get their art together before putting themselves forward for the kind of leadership the American presidency demands. What does McCain-Palin take the American people for? It would be most insulting on the intelligence of the American people to think that Wishful thinkers and gamblers can just come up and say they want to lead America, when somebody like Sarah Palin failed woefully at the home front.

By: Alice Thu, 18 Sep 2008 19:34:37 +0000 “Pack your bags, liberals, here we come”? We “want [your] country back”? Have you been living in a cave for the past 8 years, Bill? The Republicans have been in charge and look what’s happened! We are in the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression (yet John McCain says the economy is “fundamentally sound”). We are in an endless war that has cost this country billions of dollars (yet McCain imagines that we could be there for another 100 years!). Liberals are NOT “running scared.” I for one am just scared of the idea of McCain and Palin running the country. And McCain kicking out the “good old boys”? What a joke! He has been in Washington for decades and is one of the oldest members of the Senate!

And Palin… Refusing to answer questions and hiding from the press is deplorable and completely unacceptable when you are trying to be the VP! And don’t fuss about how the press is so mean to her. There is no unfair question for a person running to be the VP, unless it is about her personal life. Asking about her credentials and examining her policies is NOT unfair. It’s what happens when you run for VP. And the fact that McCain and Palin continue to lie about her is insulting to everyone in this country. She DID NOT say “thanks, but no thanks” on the Bridge to Nowhere (she approved it until Congress pulled the plug)! She has NEVER ordered the Alaskan National Guard to do ANYTHING! Being able to see another country from parts of your state does NOT mean that you have foreign policy experience. Arguing that she is in ANY way even close to qualified to run this country is ridiculous.

By: ricky Thu, 18 Sep 2008 19:26:57 +0000 It is amazing how all of these ignorants are gong-ho for palin when clearly she’s a joke. it is also clear that Mclame doesn’t have a clue of who this sideshow (palin) is. So IF mclame/palin gets in office-which i doubt it-TRUST. this nation will be in worse shape than that nut job bush led it in. Seek the facts before you run your flap. You should’ve been screaming “I want my country back seven years ago.” Oh, and remember McLame is Bush’s boy so if you think all the good ole’ boy/girl clubs are gonna be wipped out-think again. He got you dummies wrapped around his crooked old finger.

By: steve shive Thu, 18 Sep 2008 18:38:37 +0000 Hey Bill Brown. What I can’t understand about people like you, is why, given you can’t even spell (librials?)or write correctly or intelligently, (they will be cleaning up and closing all of the “Good-Old Boys/Girls” clubs and get things straighten out.),is how you can figure that you have the basic analytical skills to advise other people about compicated political issues. Seems like all your doing is enjoying some of the republican kool-aid and spouting the same old bs we’ve heard the last 8 years from the current president and all his cronies. They should not only be impeached for treason, but sentenced to jail time. As far as I can see, McCain is not fit to be president, let alone that far right religious wacko he has as his running mate.
