Comments on: Obama leads youth vote by nearly 2-1 ratio Tracking U.S. politics Wed, 16 Nov 2016 03:39:51 +0000 hourly 1 By: Matt Mon, 27 Oct 2008 13:53:38 +0000 So many st*pid liberals to respond to, so little time.

Dave, when a black republican tries to speak at Columbia University and gets shouted down and called, “Uncle Tom” and “traitor to your race,” that’s not racist? You, sir, are st*pid. When people wear “Sarah’s a c*nt” t-shirts to Palin rallies, that’s not hate speech? Again, you’re st*pid, intellectually dishonest, or both.

When Reuters and CNN run stories on how many consider Mormonism to be a cult, ultimately undermining the only conservative on the Republican primary ballot, tell me how that’s Republicans obsessing over relgion.

Where do I even begin? Tell me, was it Bosnia or Somalia that bombed the Twin Towers in 1993? Was it Bosnia or Somalia that bombed the Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia housing US military personnel? Was it Bosnia or Somalia that bombed the US Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania? Was it Bosnia or Somalia that bombed the US Cole?

So, tell me how Republicans haven’t safeguarded our ports and airports. Unlike Clinton, Bush responded militarily and we have not been attacked at home since. Even bin Laden called us a “paper tiger” because of Clinton’s failure to respond to the first attack. Was it that famous Republican Jamie Gorelick who erected the wall between federal and local law enforcement largely credited with being the reason for the 9/11 attacks? That same famous Republican Jamie Gorelick who profited in the millions as a result of a failure to regulate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Oh yeah, that same famous Republican Jamie Gorelick who was Clinton’s deputy US Attorney General.

In the context of history, you’re all going to look like fools for trying to pin blame for all your woes on Bush and conservatism.

Tax cuts typically only benefit the rich because they pay most of the taxes. When you call something a tax cut by giving money to someone who never paid taxes in the first place, no matter how you put it, you are a liar.

By invading privacy and forcing morality on us, do you mean things like what you advocate in the very next sentence? Taking my hard-earned money and giving it to someone because you feel sorry for them that their TV isn’t as big as mine? Or do you mean forcing your morality down my throat by short-ciruiting the free market and forcing the “fairness” doctrine on me?

By: axt113 Fri, 24 Oct 2008 03:09:42 +0000 lol, Matt has obviously never stepped onto a college campus, most professors i’ve met rarely if ever mention their political stance and even when they do, they skewer both parties rather evenly.

Conservatism as it exists today is a rather bankrupt ideology; especially when your party has embraced far right social policies while following economic policies that would make a drunken spendthrift blush. When you say you want small government, except you want the government to invade people’s privacy and tell them what morality is and maintain a massive military well its clear you are a few bolts short. When you grant tax cuts on the rich while reducing benefits for the poor and expect income disparity not to increase and for everyone to benefit, well tis clear you are lost. When you claim that only your party can keep America safe, but are unable to safeuard our ports and airports, and you invade one country that had nothing to do with 9/11 while ignoring those who killed thousands its clear that conservatism is not the right policy for this country

Hows about YOU notice that it’s not bigoted, racist democrats spouting hate speeches.
It’s not democrats obsessing about the Republican candidates religions.

That’s the Republicans job.

By: Matt Wed, 22 Oct 2008 19:15:33 +0000 More appropriately, they’re called liberal arts colleges because they’re institutions of extreme liberal indoctrination, where people like yourself display a level of unmatched ignorance by silencing opposing ideas and then claiming to be defenders of free speech. Notice it’s not Republican college students going to speeches made by democrats and shouting them down so they can’t be heard.

And if you want to be serious about it, “liberal arts” programs are rife with snotty little @ssholes like you who have no specific value to offer or objectives to strive for. They do, however, do a h3ll of a job in teaching you how to put a bandana on your face and throw Molotov cocktails at cops.

By: Mike Wed, 22 Oct 2008 18:45:55 +0000 Funny, I thought it was old and angry that made a good conservative.

There is a reason that they call them liberal arts colleges…any conservative arts program would be shorter than freshman orientation.

By: Matt Wed, 22 Oct 2008 17:32:40 +0000 If you’re young and conservative, you don’t have a heart. If you’re old and liberal, you don’t have a brain.
