Comments on: There’s politics happening in Washington, Obama complains Tracking U.S. politics Wed, 16 Nov 2016 03:39:51 +0000 hourly 1 By: ChangeWhat Thu, 07 Apr 2011 17:30:30 +0000 The president is just realizing their is “Politics in Washington”???? What has he been doing the last 3 years?

George H. W. Bush was the last 1 term president, Obama is next and will be the 13th president to serve 1 term.

Any U.S. Citizen whom lost their birth certificate can get another one. All they need to know is where they were born, does the President not know where he was born? Hawaii was his last stop and um no certificate their.

Hey Mr. President please google: How to Get a Certified Copy of My Birth Certificate.

By: Yellow105 Thu, 07 Apr 2011 17:24:28 +0000 The persistent Republican talking point about “uncertainty” is designed to evoke a feeling of fear and uncertainty in the reader. It is an emotional argument designed to play on the anxious feelings that many Americans still have concerning their own economic situation. Republicans can’t provide any data or evidence to back up their claim of economic uncertainty, because there is no economic data to back up their claims. Economic uncertainty is a myth term created by Frank Luntz and other Republican message crafters to politicize economic data. If you are listening to the radio, reading the Internet, or watching TV and you see or hear the term economic uncertainty be aware that Republicans are trying to emotionally manipulate you on an unconscious level. Fear is all they’ve got, and there is no shortage of flying monkeys with keyboards out there to push that fear.

Democrats didn’t “refuse” to pass a budget. They put forth a budget, and Republicans blocked it by requiring 60 votes on every bill. Their entire strategy has been blocking and opposing everything the majority wants, and then attempting to blame the majority for their own obstructionsim. It’s juvenile.

By: jgreene Thu, 07 Apr 2011 14:46:51 +0000 Let’s see, last year the Democrats had control of the House, Senate and White House and these corrupt politicians refused to pass a budget.

They refused because they didn’t want to go on record as the most profligate, corrupt group of incompetents to ever sit in the Congress and White House that this nation has ever experienced.

Obama is just a fool, with tassels on his fool’s cap. Anyone who continues to support these criminals is just plain STUPID. But we do have close to a majority of stupid people in our dumbed down United States of America.

By: ErikZ Thu, 07 Apr 2011 13:16:52 +0000 Is that what happened last time the Federal government shut down?

The only companies that will be hurt by a Federal shutdown are those that sell things to the Federal government.

It’s hard to find people that will buy 500$ hammers.

By: AGoyAndHisBlog Thu, 07 Apr 2011 12:31:21 +0000 Uncertainty started in January of 2007, at which point unemployment was HALF what it is now – it’s lowest rate in years – federal revenue was pouring in briskly, the deficit had shrunk for three years running and the federal budget was on its way toward balance and a surplus by late 2008 (

Thanks to media and Democrat demagoguery on everything from Iraq to flushed Korans to Joe Wilson IV’s lies, that all changed when the U.S. Congressional majority changed. Uncertainty – actually, the CERTAINTY of Democrat animus toward business and the uncertainty of not knowing where it would strike first – began taking its toll almost immediately. Thereafter, unemployment began to rise, the deficit was tripled (thereby signaling future business tax increases), then more than tripled again, “affirmative action lending” and corruption in the GSEs that had fueled the housing bubble also poisoned the credit market, and the rest is recent history. All of this was blamed consistently on George W. Bush at every opportunity when, in fact, it was a function of the change in Congress and the logical result of social engineering policies aimed at guaranteeing equality of outcome instead of equality of opportunity.

Employers are not blind to these kinds of events, as our woefully inexperienced, perpetually campaigning President seems to think.

Water is wet, Mr. President. And when you signal a flood, smart people lay sandbags or move on to higher ground. Unfortunately, America won’t survive your on-the-job training in this regard, nor your penchant for blaming everyone else for the “mess” you “inherited”, much longer.

By: Dandapani Thu, 07 Apr 2011 12:24:27 +0000 There he goes again. Strawmen: “some folks”.

By: hostdude99 Thu, 07 Apr 2011 11:18:55 +0000 Obama is only NOW figuring out that companies don’t like uncertainty? WTF were the last two years all about then?
