I think that the Fed can only do so much. The president and Congress apparently cannot do their share, and I suspect they are too concerned about getting reelected. We might just need another agency to manage energy and another for banking, and another for business. I don't think Congress or Obama can do their jobs with the people they have.

It's by far more easy to control inflation that to push
employment.Ben knows very well and went on the easier way.

The proper expression is: The Fed continuous to whistle while walking past the graveyard where American jobs have been placed. Meaning, the Fed is afraid that the lack of jobs will haunt them eventually.

The Fed is too damn worried about inflation. Continue with QE. Right now the focus should be purely on job creation, However, with Ron Paul as head of the House Subcommittee on Monetary Policy, probably nothing will happen of any substance.

This is a very clever graphical display of the press conference. But to be fair, isn't "unemployment recovery" Fedspeak for jobs? Also, compared to Greenspan, who delighted in saying nothing while babbling nonsense, Bernanke is much more clear.

The problem with both Greenspan and Bernanke is that the Fed has never cared for its dual mission of jobs and inflation so the Fed continues to whistle past the graveyard where American jobs have been placed.
