If deficit spending is such an issue, why the hell are we in the middle east spending trillions of dollars “occupying” countries that more than 80 percent of the residents don’t want us there?

Obama has offered Republicans the sweetest deal they’ll ever see from a Democratic president. In the end, the GOP just isn’t prepared to compromise, and the House Speaker just issn’t able to lead.

The President said yesterday he expects the Republican leaders “to explain to me how it is that we are going to avoid default.” I suspect they’re going to be unable to answer that question.
