@LarryLinn: BRILLIANT.

My question is, is this celebrity dining lottery compulsory for all Romney campaign donors? If so, I'll be interested to learn what kind of effect this has on campaign donations.

@kafantaris: True, but even self-promoting persons like Trump can be helpful from time to time (when it suits them). There are plenty of people who want to follow in their footsteps...

Romney's Massachusetts ranked 47th in job creation. He likes to call himself a job creator but he is actually a job destroyer. This from a man who does not talk about his years at Bain Capital or being the Governor of Massachusetts. What are you scared of Governor? You are an empty suite. Who cares about Trump.

It must be horrible to suffer from so much hubris.
What an empty shell. Full pockets but an empty shell "full of sound and fury...signifying nothing."

To be elected as President of the United States of America is to be given a special privilege. There are qualities in every successful candidate which the electorate chooses to represent them as their leader. These qualities are based upon the electorate's belief systems.

If the electorate is uninformed in nature (Hamilton's "great beast") then the person they elect may be one of good or bad character or one of good or bad judgment.

Given that this person they elect can either raise the World's economic and political futures or lower them the election concerns more than just those who are voting. To paraphrase that hoary song he holds the whole world in his hands.

To elect a president who may understand the U.S. electorate but who has little personal or intellectual knowledge of those peoples outside of the U.S. could be a dangerous choice.

Money is important but not the determining factor in what tribes do. As with persons, tribes or, in this case, nations will do almost anything to protect their sense of identity, including going to war over that identity even though it makes absolutely zero sense economically to do so.

A president who understands that cultural identity often "trumps" economics is an important factor in everyone's survival.

Donald Trump only wants to promote Donald Trump. Everyone and everything along the way are merely stepping stones to that end.
Those who aspire to high office should have figured this out by now.
