Jeb Can Fix It Twitter storm and Republicans gone hunting

November 2, 2015

Republican Jeb Bush has gone on damage control following an underwhelming performance in the last GOP debate and several doubt-casting headlines about his viability as a presidential candidate. To combat concerns, the Bush camp announced the launch of the “Jeb Can Fix It” tour to steer Bush’s return to the joyful campaign he previously sought to run.

While the optimistically titled tour quickly picked up among Twitter users, it wasn’t always for the reasons Bush might have hoped for.

On Monday, the slogan was trending in the twittersphere, with many users taking a jab at Jeb’s new slogan and rehashing old stumbles.

Where many of the tweets were supportive of Bush and the campaign and chided others for poking fun at the new motto, they were often drowned out by users looking to have a bit of fun at Jeb’s expense.

In addition to the flurry of tweets, the handle @JebCanFixIt2016 and JebCanFixIt.org both set up shop to poke fun at the former Florida governor’s new motto.

More on Republicans: here’s a gallery we’ve put together of GOP members, and some presidential hopefuls, out on a hunting  trip.
