Trump promises ‘perfection’

Prepare to see perfection.

Republican front-runner Donald Trump said on Thursday he would soon release a full medical report. “It will show perfection,” the real estate mogul wrote on Twitter.

“I consider my health, stamina and strength one of my greatest assets,” Trump tweeted. “The world has watched me for many years and can so testify – great genes!”

Some presidential candidates such as Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton have released statements from their doctors testifying to their good health.

Candidates’ well-being has been in the news this week. Democrat Bernie Sanders underwent elective hernia surgery on Monday.  And on Wednesday, the Wall Street Journal reported that Republican hopeful  Ben Carson may have had a recurrence of health problems years after undergoing surgery for prostate cancer in 2002. Carson declined to provide details, the paper said.

Trump, at 69, is on the older end of the bevy of candidates seeking the White House in 2016. Politico had reported before Trump’s announcement on Thursday that he had not yet released medical records.

But he has not hesitated to hint that other candidates aren’t in shape to be president. He has said Bush and Carson “have “low energy,” and mocked another Republican, Marco Rubio, for sweating during a debate.

Recently, Trump went after Clinton, saying she lacks “the strength or the stamina” to hold the Oval Office.
