Carly Fiorina falls off stage

Carly Fiorina took a tumble off the campaign stage during a rally in Indiana on Sunday, slipping into the crowd after introducing Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz.

Footage emerged on social media of Cruz’s newly minted runningmate addressing an enthusiastic crowd on a small-looking stage. Mere moments after Cruz, his wife and two children appeared from behind a curtain, Fiorina disappeared from view:

As the Washington Post was quick to point out, Fiorina is far from the first political figure to take a tumble on the trail. Remember Bob Dole’s loose railing?

Even so, Twitter users were left stunned — and, well, some were a bit amused — by Fiorina’s abrupt fall from view:

While the Cruz campaign hasn’t gotten back to us, one MSNBC reporter noted that Fiorina is campaigning in Carmel, Indiana, today, so we assume she’s all right:
