Shkreli wants to #MakeAmericaGreatAgain… or does he?!

In a shocking twist befitting the Friday afternoon before a three-day weekend, Shkreli now claims that the Trump “endorsement” he made on Twitter was all a big joke:

Take the following, then, with a big old grain of salt…

Martin Shkreli, the “Pharma Bro” who gained infamy after he hiked the cost of a lifesaving drug by 5,000 percent last year, made a bit of a surprise presidential endorsement late last night on Twitter:

That’s right: Shkreli is a supporter of presumptive Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. Why is this unexpected? Take a look at what Trump had to say about Shkreli last year:

“You want to know the truth? He looks like a spoiled brat.”

Admittedly, that’s not the worst thing that’s been said about Shkreli (or Trump, for that matter). But it’s not every day a person publicly endorses someone who publicly bashed them (unless you’re a former primary presidential candidate, of course). Some on Twitter cited Shkreli’s endorsement as the latest example of his villainy:

Then, adding weird on top of weird, Shkreli then got trolled by a fake Donald Trump Twitter account (@realDomaldTrunp, a key consonantal distinction).

He caught on eventually though.

Has Cecil-killer Walter Palmer endorsed anyone yet?
