Anyone have flashbacks during Donald Trump’s New York speech today?

The Republican presidential candidate’s address,  aimed primarily at his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, promised “jobs, jobs, jobs” to the “Americans, Americans, Americans,” he promised to make rich, safe and great again.

For veteran campaign watchers, his words echoed the rhetorical flourishes of Sarah Palin, the former Alaska Governor who ran on John McCain’s ticket eight years ago. Palin, perhaps best known for her signature phrase “Drill, baby, drill,” used the #jobs #jobs #jobs rubric in an April blog post. The former veep candidate endorsed Trump’s White House bid (“the status quo has got to go”) in January.
