They haven’t crossed anyone’s boundaries or held them by force of arms anytime recently. When did they last do that actually? When they were the Persian Empire? They haven’t been doing anything any other country with vested interests seems to think is legitimate for the defense of their own interests. They seem to differ in style more than substance from that very nebulous and selectively designed “International Community”. Few of the big powers are shy about the use of force and argument about the choice of weapons is making the matter so dangerous.

It seems to me the western governments are the only one’s still thinking the world is its oyster, or wanting to desperately. All the while others are buying up rights to the world supply of oysters while the biggest powers are disrupting each other’s economies and jeopardizing that chances that anyone but the wealthiest can afford them in the future.

We are the Walrus, as in Alice in Wonderland and the Beatles. But I have a hunch the Beatles were just tripping and didn’t really know why they were either Humpty Dumpty or The Walrus. Or maybe they forgot in the morning? In at least 40 years I can’t recall anyone ever explaining that song and the Beatles got too Zen like and a tad uppity to go into extensive exegesis.

It has been quite a binge the last 50 years.

In the light of the general behaviour of these people, I would no longer consider going on holiday to Egypt or Morocco. I believe a lot more people are like me. The whole place is spinning out of control.

It’s also too bad that you think that we can continue the colonization of the world by way of dictatorial satraps after the actual colonizers have gone home.

How un-American, Eh ?
