DEUTSCHE BANK

Deutsche Bank has appointed Michele Gissi and Roger Naylor as co-heads of its global equity derivatives unit, replacing Richard Carson. Carson, along with Nino Kjellman, former head of Asia equity derivatives, and Andrew Kent, a trader in equity derivatives, are leaving the company.

PALI HOLDINGS

The institutional securities firm and investment bank said Joseph Schenk has been named chief executive officer and has been appointed to the board of directors. Schenk previously served as chief operating officer at Pali, having joined the firm in July from Jeffries Group.

MERRILL LYNCH & CO

Merrill Lynch’s Global Wealth Management (GWM) group appointed Alla Fedorova as a financial advisor. The company also hired Katalin Cseh, previously with UBS wealth management. Fedorova & Cseh will be based in London and will work as a part of emerging European markets team.

RBC CAPITAL MARKETS

The corporate and investment banking arm of Royal Bank of Canada appointed David Gair, previously with BP, as senior adviser to its oil and gas team in London.

BANKUNITED FINANCIAL CORP

BankUnited Financial, the parent of BankUnited FSB, said Chairman and Chief Executive Alfred Camner will retire as an officer and director of the parent company and the bank on Monday. Ramiro Ortiz, current president and chief operating officer, has been named president and CEO.

BOSTON OPTIONS EXCHANGE

The Boston Options Exchange is expanding its operations to include a Washington, D.C. office to work closely with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as it works towards becoming a national securities exchange. Wayne Pestone will serve as chief legal officer. He previously worked at Bingham McCutchen LLP, providing counsel to exchanges on market regulation, surveillance and compliance for both equity and options trading.

LLOYDS TSB CORPORATE MARKETS

The bank appointed Grant Harrison as a director in its equity capital markets (ECM) and M&A advisory business.

Harrison joins the team having spent seven years with Panmure Gordon as an executive director in corporate finance division.

CREDIT SUISSE <CSGN.VX>

The Swiss investment bank said it appointed Steven Kwok and Sokho Jung as managing directors at Credit Suisse Private Equity Asia.

Kwok joins from Bear Stearns Private Equity, where he was a senior managing director and head of the eagle china retail and consumer fund. Jung joins from Standard Chartered Private Equity, where he was head of Korea from 2002.
