AKRON, OHIO - Voters who might hesitate to support Sen. Hillary Clinton for president because she is a woman should note her endorsement by several distinguished miitary leaders , which shows she is the right “person” for the job, she said on Sunday.
Telling voters they should ”hire” her as U.S. president, the former first lady said: “I know we’ve never hired a woman. I understand that for some people that may still be kind of questionable.”
Then she named some of the more than two dozen U.S. military figures who are supporting her, including retired Gen. Wesley Clark, who ran for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination in 2004, and retired Adm. William Owens, who served as vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
“Why would people like Wes Clark, who have given their lifetime to our country, be supporting me unless they concluded that I was the best person for the job?” she said.
Clinton made her remarks at a rally in Akron, her third such event in a busy day of campaigning across Ohio, where she is locked in a tight race with Democratic rival Sen. Barack Obama ahead of the state’s primary on Tuesday.

Some points to consider: 1) Obama is that he has been bringing a lot of young voters into the party. He is therefor the future of the Democratic party. 2) There is a great deal of hate for Sen Clinton among Republicans, if she wins the nomination there will be a lot more Republicans out in numbers voting against her. I am a crossover Republican and I will vote for Obama, but NOT for Sen. Clinton. People like me are harder to track in poles. 3) Sen Obama has a great deal of support among independents, this is a group that Sen McCain is hoping for. This means that group will be more divided. For these reasons and because there is a lot of bad history Sen. Clinton will have to account for is why many Republicans want to face Hilary Clinton rather than Barack Obama. The Republican party knows they stand a better chance against Clinton than Obama.

And, BTW Hil, yes I would rather see Obama take that call in the wee hours of the morning. You see, his opinion on Iraq was the correct one. You were the one who screwed up. If the call is about Bill and Monica, or shaky cattle futures or Whitewater, then I’m sure he won’t mind passing off the call to you.

As with most of these stories pushed by the Clinton team, FACTS help sort things out. Go read about the article. Even the Canadian government says they do not see a difference between what he is saying on the campaign and what he will actually do. The suggestion he is saying one thing to voters and something else to Canada is a lie.

That is exactly what he has been saying on the trail, exactly what he believes is needed to improve NAFTA, exactly what he keeps pushing for in other trade agreements. If you make sure both countries have to follow the same set of rules than american jobs will be protected.
Obama has to keep clarifying ONLY because Clinton keeps SAYING he says things he didn’t say.
She and Bill outright lied about his quote referring to Reagan, misquoted him, and that is exactly what they are doing again here.
Sorry, but American people need to WAKE UP TO THEMSELVES and realize that Hillary R Clinton is the right person to lead the democrats into the election. She is a fighter, and a tuff fighter at that. She knows about international policies, she knows what is going on in the world and in America, she has the experience, been in politics for over 35 years….she has the backing from ex military people, saying she is the best person for the job….Just becoz you might hate Bill, dont hate on Hillary and stop be so racist….yeah racist, American’s are being racist against Hillary coz she is a woman, get a crip and vote for someone who is going to CHANGE the USA and the WORLD….not some young gun who says one thing and then the other

Mark my words, you heard it here first, I say Hillary wins both Texas and Ohio (by cheating). Then they get the Florida and Michigan delegates, and cheat at a few others. This will be the most corrupt election in history, and Hitlary will be the next President for 2 terms. They don’t play to lose, and remember the rules were written for everyone else, not them. They’re better than everyone else.
