WASHINGTON - Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton has a “little secret” about the candidate conservatives love to hate — she’s human.
In a light-hearted exchange on Fox News’ “Fox and Friends” show following her primaries victories in Ohio, Rhode Island and Texas, Clinton offered the conservative leaning news network an exclusive.
“I have a little secret which I will only tell Fox … if you promise not to tell anybody else,” she joked. “You know what? I really am a human being. I know that’s hard to believe but it happens to be true.”
The New York senator, known for her toughness in the face of adversity, has been trying to show her lighter side in her contest against Sen. Barack Obama for the Democratic presidential nomination. In the days leading up to Tuesday’s crucial primaries Clinton poked fun at herself on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” show and the “Daily Show” on Comedy Central.
Clinton may have something else working in her favor as she tries to win the Democratic nomination battle — she was born in October. Former White House political adviser Karl Rove noted that more U.S. presidents were born in October than any other month.
“I mean, the omens are just stacking up. What can I say?” Clinton responded.

I am a registered independent voter who has been relatively pleased with the group of candidates on both sides to choose from (after Romney was forced out); Obama is my top pick from all the candidates.
However, events of the past few days leading up to March 4 have convinced me that if Clinton becomes the democratic nominee, McCain is the best choice. After 20 years of the partisan warfare that has trumped any real debate or progress (thanks to BUSH-CLINTON-CLINTON-BUSH-BUSH), it seems another Clinton is poised to destroy any hope of progress for the gain of her party.

Mrs. Clinton why can’t your platform win without NEGATIVE campaigning, distortions, innuendos and nasty rumors… Why do you constantly disparage Senator Obama’s speeches, as being eloquent but empty? Don’t you stump your speeches? Although your speeches are uninspiring and just plain nasty!!! Shame on you Mrs. Clinton!!
I will have three choices, if you win the presidential Democratic Party nomination; vote for McCain, not vote at all, or vote for you… IF you clean up your act… and I am not sure if I can forgive your maliciousness in this campaign.
For the first time in years, I have HOPE… I am a 46 year old AA Female, from Texas and I am so disappointed in your behavior.
I’m not asking you to give up… No way, you’ve worked to hard for this… But I just cannot stand this negativity you seem to promote with such ease.
Run a clean campaign, Mrs. Clinton… before your reputation with my voting block is irreparably damaged… imagine me becoming a Republican at this late stage of my life.
- Posted by MarieThat on TV was Hilary at her Best, ACTING! was it better than the Oscar tears performance, Hilary never shows real sincerity, in fact would any Clinton? they are the politics of The Past! - all for Personal Interest, Greed and Power.
- Posted by John B SheffielldOne thing is for sure…… every time Hillary whines, she wins.
- Posted by RonThat’s a great strategy… She has now adopted the story about those 2 little girls who want her to win because that will show the world that anything is possible…… reality check.
There have been places in the world with very powerful women leaders… Just not her. We as Americans are good people with a short memory.
It was such a joy watching Hillary victory last night in Ohio. Hillary is a fighter, a damn good one. I’m definitely hoping for a Hillary/Obama ticket.
In the end, I will be fine with either Hillary or Obama. But I’m just so sick of all the bashing from Obama’s supporter.
- Posted by SamIt is so exciting that a woman is now closer than ever before to taking power.
- Posted by johnWhat a real change that would be!
I love you Hillary, go girl.
Hey, I was born in October so can I run for presidential election too ? The whole thing is getting more and more stupid each day with Hillary in the race. First, she was qualified to run because she has been married to a man who used to be a president, and now she claims that she is destined to become a president because she was born in October. What about me then ? All of those dictatorships around the world which the US love to bash, are laughing at this whole shenanigan at the moment because at least their approach is a bit more honest than this mockery. Can you not hear it?
- Posted by OctoberchildBy the way, Hillary, you only won 3 states after losing 12 states to Obama. We don’t think you are great at sums but still, even you should be able to figure out that 12 is greater than 3, girl!
- Posted by OctoberchildHillary’s win is only a temporary breeze in her sails. There is no stopping our man! Barack Hussein Obama for president!! Praise be Allah.
- Posted by AkheemElectable candidates do not have to script their humanity. Clinton’s contrived sincerity indicates a real problem in connecting with voters. But hey, some voters think voting for Clinton will keep their children safe from monsters under their beds.
- Posted by Linda HarveyOctober child, maybe you’re too stupid to run for a presidential election? Heck I can say I’m inexperienced, maybe I can run for the election too? Of course not. Hillary is still behind, but not out of the race yet. We’ll just have to wait and see!
- Posted by lalabeListen up boys and girls, Hillary is the best hope we have to gain control of the WhiteHouse…
- Posted by jeleanoroshe will also be the best Commander in Chief…the complaints about her negative attacks are ridiculous…think back to the Philadelphia debate…she had stayed above the fray, stayed positive, just talking about the issues we all care about…and then she was ATTACKED during that debate by the MSNBC media, Barack and Edwards! Don’t tell me that Barack has not been negative. She started fighting back then, first cautiously, taking his lead…now she’s taken her own lead, thank goodness for that…you have to be a fighter to win the Whitehouse and we need a fighter IN the Whitehouse, and anyone that doesn’t think so is really NAIVE!!
“…………..keeps on ticking………”
Senator Obama said it all today. She’s reliable…..dependable…… That’s the candidate I want!!! “……keeps right on ticking!!!!………………’
- Posted by cbIt’s really ironic. The Republicans are on the cusp of a major recession, and that usually gets a party thrown out of office. The Democrats have two candidates that are generating youth, aged, female, union and independent votes. But, too much of a good thing, I think. If they beat each other up too much, McCain just might win against all odds. Now’s the time for Barack and Hillary to work something out so that one - or both - of them can begin beating up on McCain. Hey, don’t snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory.

Can someone explain why his name is Hussein ?
- Posted by waitaminuteCan someone explain why someone’s middle name is a campaign issue?
- Posted by sanfrancliffit’s becoming evident voters are seriously evaluating the smokey haze of the obama’s candidacy. finally the press is reporting about his ‘beautiful’ and enriching relations with indicted chicago political fixer Rezco and finding out obambi’s not as lily-white as he claims. then the canada-nafta scandal has shown obambi will say anything to court voters even if he didn’t mean to stick by them. soooooo traditional politician, shock!
and of course, there’s the EXPERIENCE question. yes, normal folks do look for such mundane things in job applicants, esp. for the top job in the world! and obama-lite ain’t got it!
- Posted by mikelWhy do I keep reading comments from Hillary supporters who think she has taken the lead? She hasn’t. Obama has almost the same delegate lead he had going into Ohio and Texas. Hillary gained a 4 to 12 delegate lead. That’s it. Leave it to the media to hype up, what was ultimately a failure on her campaign’s part to ratchet up the significant cut into Obama’s delegate lead that she needs going into the next few months. The only ways she can win is if she steals the nomination with super-delegates, if some how all of Obama’s supporters turn against him in the weeks to come or if they hold do over primary’s in Florida and Michigan and Hillary wins by a landslide in both.
The media is distorting this as a huge victory for Hillary, it’s not. It’s just dragging out the process giving John McCain time to beat up in the democrats.
If Hillary wins the nomination, she will likely have to depend on superdelagates to do so, which will tear the party apart and very likely lead to another Republican president. There is a reason right-wingers want Hillary to be the nominee… because the can beat her.
- Posted by annHillary Clinton has run one of the dirtiest, most dishonest campaigns I’ve ever seen, especially in the week running up to the Texas and Ohio primaries. First the photos playing on the fears of the ignorant, then the distorted claims about the NAFTA comment. She has lately taken to saying outright that John McCain is more ready to be president than Obama. She is actually sabotaging the likely Democratic nominee in her desperation. She is hurting her party and her country in the service of her vanity.
- Posted by TylerHillery has no experience that is not stolen, borrowed, or presumed…She is dispised by close to half of her party and the same ratio of other voters. She is pitied by the women voters and half of them admit to really voting for Bill. Her management skills are most prominent in the running of her campaign. She has DELIVERED NOTHING. She has been ‘part’ of only 5 bills in 8 years of being in the senate. She endorsed McCain over Obama in the statement : I have 35 yrs experience- McCain has a lifetime of exoerience and Obama has 2 speeches”.
She is caustic and nasty and angry by turns…Never cool under pressure and must be scripted to deliver a speech.
What kind of leader is that…

Dear Madam, and Sir,
A Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama ticket is what we want. And that is what we need to take back the Whitehouse. We want a smart, tough, idealistic, seasoned veteran of many battles fighting for the American people (Hillary Clinton). With a young, passionate, smart, open-minded, hard-working idealist fighting for the American people (Barrack Obama). The DREAM TEAM!
You are both fabulous candidates. And we, the American people are very fortunate to have each of you. Taking back the Whitehouse is critical for the American people, and the world at this time. And I think the American people have been saying loudly, and clearly that a Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama ticket is the best way to do this.
I think the American people have made it very clear that they feel Hillary Clinton is the one best able to lead the ticket against John McCain at this critical, and desperate time in America, and around the world. These dramatic comebacks are testament to Hillary Clinton’s skill, and experience as a fighter for the American people. They are also a testament to the strong desire of the American people to have both of you fighting for the American people at this time of midnight in America.
Typical of the Clinton’s is an uncanny ability to see and understand what the American people want. And then to try and get it for them. Even if they have to go through three political near death experiences to try and get it for the American people. This is classic Clinton’s. They are the best I have ever seen.
We are desperate out here. Millions of us are suffering greatly. And tens of thousands of us are dying needlessly every year. Men, women, children, and babies. We need help! As Hillary Clinton said “It’s not a game”. We need the two of you together on our side fighting for us, and for the American dream for all. Not fighting against each other anymore.
It’s time for you Senator Obama to join forces with Hillary Clinton as her running mate so that we can all focus our energies, and resources on taking back America for the American people.
Don’t make me hurt you.
Sincerely
Jacksmith…
- Posted by jacksmithHave no fear Tyler. We in the Muslim community will work hard and ensure that Obama is elected. It is the will of Allah, praised be His Name. Only with a strong leader in the US, can good relations be established with the Muslim world. With Obama in charge, Islam will become greatly tolerated in America and there will be peace. It is the first and important step in converting our great country into an Islamic state.
- Posted by AkheemI just love Hillary! Seriously. I think she’s super. I think that many Americans are afraid of a tough woman, but it doesn’t bother me one bit. I like Barack too. Its Howard Dean that’s the problem. He’s not showing leadership in the party and instead is complaining about money and what is and what isnt his responsibility. This from the guy that brought us, “AAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHH!”. Hopefully the candidates will get together and fix the party, cause no one else is!
