PITTSBURGH - Sen. Barack Obama held a campaign rally on Friday in the Soldiers and Sailors museum in Pittsburgh. No drama there? Well, the building was used to film a cruci
al sequence in the movie “The Silence of the Lambs.”
For anyone not familiar with the 1991 thriller, the scene occurs when serial killer Hannibal Lecter, played by Anthony Hopkins, is locked in a large cage from which he toys with Clarice Starling, a young FBI trainee played by Jodie Foster .
It’s in this scene that she discloses to him her childhood memory of finding a slaughterhouse for lambs.
The cage is super secure but not secure enough to hold Lecter, who escapes by clubbing his guards to death, stringing one of them up from the walls and then ….
Actually, you should see the movie for yourself. It didn’t win five Oscars for nothing.
Pennsylvania Sen. Robert Casey held a news conference to explain his decision to endorse Obama in the very room where the cage was constructed, a spacious, opulent chamber with an ornate balcony.
Obama, who is running for the Democratic nomination, made no reference to the film in his speech in a hall downstairs.
But there was a distant echo of one of its most chilling lines. Lecter taunts Starling when she visits him in the cage with the words: “People will say we’re in love.”
During his speech, a supporter shouted to Obama: “I love you, Obama.” And he replied smoothly: “I love you back.”

Quite contrary, huh? Evidently, Bob Casey must know something about his native home, that lead him to a grand choice. Not to mention that his family including his daughters have a keen sense of choice. Since we are into movies ‘Silence of the Lambs’, what do you think of this one, the A-Team, when they say, ‘I love when a plan comes together’. Now that’s what I am talking about. Don’t forget ‘who loves you, baby‘? Go Obama!
- Posted by Nisey01I have to laugh about Casey’s endorsement of Obama. Did he really say he was inflluenced by his four daughters enthusiasm. That’s just it the young voters, and in this case the ladies have the hots for Obama. He is a cult figure but they aren’t looking at the real man.I have to find out more about Casey. Clinton is encouraged to drop out for the sake of the party. Of course Obama supporters want to end it while he is ahead. But is this the current will of the people. Obama would not have won the delegates he has if the news about his mentor Rev. Wright had been out there in the mass media from the onset. It raised serious issues but only recently, when his cult status was established. I am certain if it were all redone today, Hillary would be squarely ahead. Certainly Florida and Missoiri’s voters should count - is Obama trying to rig the outcome by not supporting this for his own benefit? All the votes should be counted and let’s see how the rest of it goes. I hope the superdelegates have the courage to understand that Obama’s background came out too late, and they have to show good judgement as to his candidacy. NOW Obama says he would quit the church, when for 20 years he supported, and made Rev. Wright his mentor and personal ‘family’. You can’t tell a book by it’s cover, and surely Obama is good looking, charming, and glib. But when you look beneath the cover at his actions, his friends and associations, it is obvious that he is not a man of character or good judgement. If anyone was associated closely with Hitler - for 20 years-in his inner circle and heard his tirades against the Jewish people, and considered him a close mentor and friend - and then said well I do object to some of what he said - but I can’t disown him etc. I know this is a dramatic analogy but when you think about it, it’s the same. Rev Wright preaches hate against whites, and hails people like Farakhan, a vile bigot and hate monger himself. Of course Obama knew all this and more but did nothing. Why didn’t he speak up in protest then - over so many years - it speaks volumes about this man. I would surely vote for a Black American to be President of the United States - but not this one. The oh so obvious bias of the press, CNN, NBC etc. is discusting, and it is one instance “I” am ashamed of what is going on in our country. I know truth is powerful and I hope Obama is eliminated as a candidate.

NO OBAMA EVER!
- Posted by JohnHarvey you lose credibililty comparing Wright to
a mass murderer like Hitler.
Tear your brain away from right wing radio for a minute
and read what a White member of Trinity has to say about
Rev. Wright.
Rev. Wright in a different light — Racism, Philadelphia County …

The great thing about Obama is that his supporters

people who bring of rev wright at this point have no real valid argument against obama.WRIGHT IS NOT RUNNING FOR PREZ!!! most of them have not heard one of wright’s sermons in its entirety-let alone 20yrs worth to know what he’s about.it sounds a lot like the old “blacks can”t be trusted” argument, as mccain and clinton have had links to offensive figures without much consequence. black voters are highly offended by ferraro’s comments(to name one), but i guess its a matter of offending the wrong group? ferraro made that comment for weeks as an extension of hillary’s campaign. can you imagine the fallout if an obama advisor/fundraiser sid that hillary was only in the race beacause she was a woman and bill’s wife? would that be ok?
Hillary clinton is running negative(and sometimes false) attack adds, threatning party leaders, telling bold face lies about her experiences, and falling behind in delegates everyday…this is GOOD for the party?
florida and michigan should count when she’s behind-no mention of it early. that’s integrety?

Obama is Silence of the Lamb indeed. Springing from nowhere. Scary….
- Posted by KaiRev Wright’s story is a gross misportrayal.
- Posted by joe ombimaHe’s been a preacher for over 20 yrs that is being summed
in a 30 sec snippet
How about this, Bill Clinton was a great president for 8 years is it ok to cancell all his achievements because he once lied under oath and cheated his family?
has any one listened to Wrights entire summons
If he is such a hate monger, why did Bill Clinton invite him to the whitehouse?
why isn’t anyone questioning Pastor John Hagee’s endorsement of Mc Cain. He has been uttering outrageous hate sentiments against Islam
a church is a conregation not a preacher, i may disagree
with the preacher sometimes but does’nt mean that i will defect from the church. a church is a fellowship alot of older white people attended churches that preached inequality, but they picked out the good out of the summons and built their relationship with God and the members and some even became human rights activists
you are not obligated to always agree with your pastor
some pastors preach against gays,or gender inequalities does it mean that if you
do not disagree you have to leave the church? does that mean that we will never have leaders who advocate for equality from such congregations.
lets not loose an opportunity for change
vote Obama
Wow..how does a Reverend fit into this story? Since we are straying off topic, I just wanted to highlight how closed minded many people are. Do you really think that politics can be so easily divided into Democrat or Republican, Liberal or Conservative, etc. Obviously you are falling victim to one of the oldest tricks in the book. This is an illusion of choice. The big money tells you which card to pick in their hand while the rest of the deck remains unnoticed by the corporate controlled media.
- Posted by RobertHillary is destroying the Democrats chance to win in november. She is not credible and she and her husband will do anything to win. Look how they have been moving the goalpost! Casey is a moderate democrat with many conservative values and his endorsement should boost Obama with Catholics and whites.

- Posted by tom abrahamsEveryone knows NOW that he was lying about Rev. Wright and Farrakahn.(not to mention Rezko)
raising young kids in a hate-filled organization and gave them $20,000 (that we know of), which would have done much better given to the hurrican Katrina victims or 9/11 survivors.
Either Obama’s judgement is about as sharp as a bowling ball, and is NOT qualified to be president. PERIOD! Or else he is lying. Either of which means He is just plain a phony!
Hillary gets my vote, and my family’s vote.

Rick Sloan, Communications Director for the International Machinists and
Aerospace Workers Union, today emailed this scenario to the media:
1247 Delegates: Hold on to the 1247 pledged delegates HRC has amassed since
January 3rd
1497: Maintain the support of the 250 super delegates who have endorsed her
candidacy already
1648: Add 151 pledged delegates to her total with ten point wins in
Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky and Puerto Rico
1860: Add another 122 pledged delegates by winning or placing a close second in
Guam, Indiana, North Carolina, Oregon, Montana and South Dakota
2046: Seat the Florida and Michigan delegations adding 186 pledged delegates to
her total
2095: By seating the Florida and Michigan delegations, she gains 49 uncommitted
delegates or super delegates
2215: Secure the votes of 120 of the 330 remaining super delegates to surpass
the 2208 delegates to be nominated
– Rick Sloan, International Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union [Note: If
Florida and Michigan delegates are counted — as Sloan does in the above
scenario — the winning number grows to 2,208]
I say we are going to WIN!
If you do not believe me, take a good look at what the Obama people are trying to block from public view:

- Posted by DanicaNow this is interesting. “Kevin” complains about Obama’s dishonesty, and then declares himself a supporter of Clinton - who has even more of a reputation for fabrication.
This seems sort of like saying “I hate Chirac, he’s such a socialist. Vive Mitterand!”
