For goodness sakes, Mr. & Mrs. Reader! Anybody can make this mistake, so we really ought to give Mr. McCain a break here. I don’t recall the media picking up on every mistake that Mr. Obama makes…not even the big ones like voting for FISA and momentarily forgetting his 16-month Iraq withdrawal plan…which mistakes are far, far worse than forgetting the two republics that used to be Czechoslovakia.

As a matter of fact, Mr. Obama has made the really big mistake of “moving to the center” in order to attract independent swing voters such as the undersigned. The mechanics of his “move to the right”, however, (e.g., FISA) are the opposite of what attracted me to his candidacy in the first place.

Obviously, Senator McCain is not very well versed on the Czech Republic and our other longtime international allies worldwide. Perhaps he should take a trip around the world and get to know them better. Just one more reason to vote for Obama.

I have a Replogle world globe that shows Czechoslovakia and Burma and Belgian Congo and East Pakistan as well as cities like Leningrad and Bombay. Shucks…it even has some place called USSR., just to mention a few.
