Next Thursday, December 16, Thomson Reuters is hosting a Newsmaker discussion with IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn. From “currency wars” to the European sovereign debt crisis, the IMF is playing a leading role in the pressing issues of finance and economics today.

Reuters Global Editor-at-Large Chrystia Freeland will be moderating the Newsmaker event at the Newseum in Washington, D.C.

Reuters.com will be live-streaming the event starting at noon on December 16. And our very own James Ledbetter will be live blogging on the day of the event as well.

Over the next week we’ll be previewing the event here with video and posts on the IMF and Dominique Strauss-Kahn. Stories from Reuters journalists describing the issues facing the global economy can be found on this Newsmaker blog as well. And information about how you can contribute to the discussion can be found here, too.
