It is indeed inspiring to have a heavyweight such as Boris given the incumbent a thoroughly good run for their money. It is even more refreshing to enjoy the prospect of somebody with the charisma of Boris gunning for this symbolic office. Many people cringe at Mr Livingstone’s more, shall we say, esoteric utterances. We desperately need somebody to cheer!
