I think Mr Brown has blown it.
He needs to pull out all the stops to win a Gen/election.

Don’t blame exclusively on Gordon and let Blair get away with it. The election’s results do not reflect only 1 year’s leadership, the mud slide was visibly coming down since labour’s views started to drift towards right. Build up time big time!!

I am old enough to remember 18 years where the tories gradually sold off our assetts and made greed a virtue sadly many voters are too young to remember the hell of that time I hope someone tells them before the general election

It’s good that Labour gets a bashing.
They have been in power for far too long that they have forgotten the very people who put them there.

I couldn’t agree more with Hermani, Blair extremely lucky got away just when the show is falling apart.

I cannot believe what a fantastic time this country now has to look forward to, under blair/brown the country has suffered huge cost in lost lives in the middle east and economically, ukplc is drastically falling behine in modernisation in comparison to our euro neighbours, also ukplc has been sold down the river to a bunch of idle no good beauro-crats in brussles of which the side effects have already taken their toll. god knows what our national deficit really looks like, this will become apparent when their will be a ‘no vote of confidence in the government and the tories take the country back into abundance and prosperity under thatcher and major.

Alas it seems like an end of an era….. lets go back to the good old tory years of unemployment, rubbish public services, strikes, family values (what a laugh) etc, etc. On hindsight, will look at the Blair years as reliving the 1960’s…..the best time of my life and most others I think….now we’re entering the misery of the 70’s/80’s, will we ever learn? The good think is we’re in the EU now so lets all pack our bags and go to the sun…….

Its sad that the nation has taken 10 years to realise that the labour movement is still a bunch of socialists in sheeps clothing. Their cunning plan is remarkable in terms of how they duped the electorate. The problem now will be that all credible opponents seem to be hiding under stones - where will some decent leaders emerge from?
