The Labour Party conference in Brighton is crucial if the party is to start a revival that could give it a fourth successive term in office. As well as covering Gordon Brown’s big set piece on Tuesday, our team of three reporters will try to gauge party morale and give you a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes beside the seaside.

- Posted by Demystifying Blogging: Tips for Beginning Bloggers | Web Hosting SourceI see the “faithful” or should that be “gullible” are cheering that traitor Brown…..they don’t seem to grasp they’re like lambs being loaded on a truck being carted of to the slaughter house of an election!
The only thing Brown needs to stand up & say is ” I am the worst PM in living memory, I am incompetent, I am a traitor, I am a liar and I resign with immediate effect”
- Posted by William FletcherFor goodness sake, when will this arrogant and totally out of touch man (Brown) understand that even his own party don’t want him. During his speach yesterday only half the seats were occupied and then half the audience were either not listening or asleep.
Brown’s excrutiating attempts at smiling along with his sycophantic cabinet is enough to make you want to throw up.
He so far removed from reality that he really does believe he is liked and respected especially as he quote “saved the world”.
- Posted by malcolm davisEvery single day, Gordon Brown looks more like John Major did. In the same vein, the Labour Party look like the Tories of 1996/1997 - no onewill put their head up to be leader now, it is now impossible for Labour to win the next election as a new leader simply won’t have enough time to turn things around. They (the cabinet) are all being nice as they are all hovering around, ’supporting’ Gordon and telling him he can do it. In 8 months they will all be out as ‘the lone voice of decent’ in the cabinet, stating how it was them and them alone, pleading with Brown to go behind closed doors. Let’s face it, if Brown’s leadership was a dog, it would be a trip to the vets and looking at a teary 8 year-old, explaining that ‘old Gordon’ won’t be coming home today

Somehow I did find his speech as always with a lack of charisma, his body language showing a man sinking in more trouble than sucess for the next election. I did not find his speech worth electing him in the next election. Of course he now has Peter Mandelson next to him trying I think desperately to push him to be a leader one can count on.
- Posted by catherine.williamsIf one has watch Mandelson yesterday’s speech, of course a lot shorter than Brown we see the difference of men pushing themselves as leaders, though nothing new about this about Mandelson who has left and has come back in the cabinet, obviously Browns needs a push which I guess he will not accept because of his rather moody character.
So no he has not convince me and no I will not vote for a prime minister who really has not been elected by the people of this country and will really not change most of his policies. He seems to give and take from an other source to inpliment his policies, contradicting himself from day to day. How can we trust Brown to lead our Country. Though I am not a Labour voter anyway but am always ready to change my mind if policies attracts me.
SO PLEASE BROWN GET THE MESSAGE AND GET OUT.
