In response to an earlier bloggers comment: "This looks more like lions in Africa looking for prey for survival. It does not reflect intelligence, respect for one’s self or civilized society. It reflects barbarism of the worst kind and a lack of respect of the evolution of civilization."

Barbarism of the worst kind? I think not! This person is hurting only himself not murdering thousands of people with the push of a button or pull of a trigger. The evolution of civilization has not yet happened near as I can tell. Would anyone civilized find it reasonable to invade sovereign countries and slaughter their civilians in countless numbers? Not by my understanding of the word civilized to be sure!

This picture of "human activity" is a reflection of
thousand of years of developing civility and respect for
one's self and humanity? This looks more like lions in Africa looking for prey for survival. It does not reflect intelligence, respect for one's self or civilized society. It reflects barbarism of the worst kind and a lack of respect of the evolution of civilization. Why pay any attention to this type of self egotism and ignorance.

I can understand remembering a significant icon in religious history with a ceramony, ritual or even set a national holiday to shut down business, but these acts are pure lunacy!

They weep for their fallen religious icon by beating and scarring themselves with metal blades and other devices of self mutilation. How can this ben humane?

I agree with Ouch. "Thank you sir, may I have another? Thank you sir, may I have another? Thank you sir, may I..."
